B2B invoicing platform for the UAE
I assembled the development team and owned planning, stakeholder alignment, architecture and delivery of a B2B invoicing platform. Together, we implemented OCR, process automation and a digital assistant based on a fine-tuned open-weight LLM.
01 / Context
Context
I took responsibility for a B2B SaaS invoicing platform for SMEs in the UAE, from initial planning to delivery. I assembled and led the development team and worked directly on implementation. I aligned requirements and priorities with stakeholders, translated them into the technical architecture and organized the team’s development work.

Implementation
AI integration and automation were part of the platform’s scope: as a team, we implemented optical character recognition (OCR), process automation and a digital assistant. The assistant was based on a fine-tuned open-weight language model. This brought AI capabilities into the application alongside the invoicing functionality.
The technical work covered multi-company data isolation, roles, authentication and API middleware, alongside navigation and caching. Currency and tax calculations required decimal-safe handling. Containerization, CI/CD, monitoring and security were also part of the development scope.
The platform combines Next.js and TypeScript with Node.js, PostgreSQL and Prisma. It supports English, German and Arabic, including right-to-left layouts. I led the team through implementation and delivery, coordinating the technical work with stakeholders throughout.

I delivered the platform with the team I assembled and led. It included OCR, process automation and a digital assistant based on a fine-tuned open-weight LLM. My responsibility covered planning, stakeholder alignment, software architecture, hands-on implementation and coordination through delivery.
