Enterprise Invoice Management Platform (UAE)
Architecture review for a UAE B2B invoicing platform moving from a rapid prototype toward a production-ready system.

01 / Starting point
About the project
As an external advisor, I reviewed the architecture of a B2B SaaS platform for UAE SMEs. The goal was a credible path from prototype to production under new e-invoicing deadlines.
02 / Constraints
Requirements
Multi-company data isolation, decimal-safe calculations, and a practical route from prototype to production. Client details remain confidential.
03 / Implementation
Implementation
I assessed the multi-company architecture, roles, and data isolation. In currency and tax calculations, I identified floating-point risks and recommended decimal-safe utilities.
Further work covered frontend navigation and caching, authentication and API middleware, plus gaps in containerization, CI/CD, monitoring, and security. These findings became a phased roadmap to go-live.
The platform uses Next.js and TypeScript on the frontend, with Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Prisma on the backend. It supports English, German, and Arabic, including right-to-left layouts.
04 / Current state
The architecture review became a phased roadmap to go-live, covering data isolation, safer calculations, authentication, delivery, and operations.
